This week’s Cringe Report: the Robot Preacher.
Humans are becoming so obsessed with our robotic creations that we seem to think that there’s nothing that they can’t do.
Imagine a future where robot doctors and android lawyers are commonplace, a world where everything that can be done by artificial intelligence will be done by artificial intelligence.
Is there any job that should remain so sacred that it should never be replaced by a cold, unfeeling, calculating collection of plastic and metal?
If there ever were one, religious leader would be it. A group of Buddhist engineers in Japan disagrees, however.
BEHOLD, THE ROBOT PREACHER, IN ALL ITS DIVINE GLORY:
Boy is humanity lost.
If you’re a regular reader of our articles, such as this one on the Metaverse, or our YouTube content, such as the Stay Human series, then you know where CHOQ stands on topics like transhumanism, artificial intelligence, and the replacement of humans with machines.
We’re a company that promotes natural living and reclaiming your vitality by reconnecting with the Earth, and thus we see it as our duty to keep our people informed by reporting on the state of our bizarre obsession with technology.
That being said, it’s always good to laugh…and cringe. Sometimes you’ve got to do both. After all, it feels more like we’re living in an episode of South Park or a Mike Judge movie virtually every day, so we may as well appreciate the hilarity of the bizarroland we live in.
Ready to cringe-laugh? Buckle your seatbelt and grab your popcorn.
